How do you write a declaration of independence in your own words?
so im writing a declaration of independence about stoping pollution its for school and its due in like 2 days and i have no idea how im supposed to write it!!! plz help me out!(:

Hmmm...interesting assignment.
The founding fathers declared their independence from England and its king, whom they considered a destructive tyrant. While the polluters (all of them, big industry as well as individual people) could be compared to the tyrant, it would have to be earth and all of nature to take the role of the US in your declaration. So, basically, as the newly born US government removed the rule of King George and England from their country, your declaration would have to exclude the polluters from the entire planet. Not an easy task! Let's see, maybe the polluters could be removed to their own space station or even another planet? I am not sure how much imagination you are allowed to use here.
Maybe you do not have to solve the problem, as in, "where the polluters should go", but simply give arguments in your declaration that the earth and nature no longer accepts the presence and authority of any polluters. So, your declaration may simply need to list the reasons WHY these polluters are not allowed (just as we did with England). You could site specific examples of the destructive forces of pollution, such as acid rain, lower air quality, toxic chemicals polluting water sources, and even things like oil spills, and then state why these particular things are so destructive to nature and the earth (even something as obvious as, "We no longer tolerate oil spills in our lakes and oceans, as all creatures of the earth have the same rights to a healthy life..."
I hope that is enough information to get you started, as, the declaration is supposed to be "in your own words". You could certainly get a copy of the US Declaration of Independence and use that as a guide to form your own declaration. You could actually start it off in the same manner as the US Declaration, using all living things residing on the earth instead of just "humans" or people.
Once you get started, it should be pretty easy to start listing examples of pollution (try a search engine to look for websites that have information on specific types of pollution if you need to), and why the types of pollution are harmful and should not be done (stating the specific rights of people, plants, and animals who reside on the earth). It seems like it would be kind of fun to write, especially if you follow some of the wording from the US Declaration. Best of luck to you--and I hope this helps!
