Do switch-hitters in baseball ever use different bats for each side of the plate? As in, different weights or lengths depending on if they are batting left-handed or right-handed. Or maybe they just have different colored bats because they're superstitious, or they use identical bats no matter which way they're batting. Anyone know?
I CAN'T SAY YES OR NO FOR CERTAIN, AS I WAS NEVER A SWITCH HITTER, BUT I ASSUME THAT IT IS NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. USUALLY A PERSON IS MORE DOMINANT OR STRONGER FROM ONE SIDE OF THE PLATE, SO MAYBE THEY WILL USE A LIGHTER BAT ON THEIR WEAKER SIDE TO HELP GET THROUGH THE ZONE QUICKER...
