I have a 1934 Lou Gehrig all star game baseball card. How much money do you think i can get if i sell it.?
If i sell it to a sports card store. It is in pretty good condition.
I just happened upon this question, so I'm going on the memory bank here.
I don't recall any company designating an 'all-star' card before Topps started doing it. Unfortunately, in this case, Topps' 1st set was in 1948.
If it is indeed a 1934 card, the only set that pops to mind that year was the Goudey 'Diamond Stars' set, which I don't even think The Iron Horse was in.
Have you confirmed the year? Upon 1st glance, I thought you might have the All-Time Greats card from the 1976 Topps set. If you're not sure, you can generally find the year of production on the back of the card.
If it's from the the '76 set, I would imagine it's in the $15-$40 range in nm-mt condition (sorry, no price guide handy). If it's from any other 'recent' set, it's probably a $1 at most. If it's a 1934 card, it's probably (again, a guess) in the $200-400 range.
Chances are a dealer isn't going to give you much, if anything for it. My advice is, do a little more research on the card, and put it up for auction on ebay. You're sure to find a buyer. If you'd like, email me a photo of the card, and I'll get any info I can on it for you. juryofone@yahoo.com.
