dogs-in parks -- issue dividing people ?
what would you say to someone who believes that the dog-in parks issue is dividing ppl and should have never been raised in the first plae?
It's hard NOT to raise the issue when some people think they should take their dogs to parks (or have specially made dog parks just for them) and others don't. The problem stems from irresponsible dog owners who get dogs yet they have no personal space or time for so they need a place to take them. This invariably infringes on the peace and quiet of other people when their once-quiet homes are now being force-fed barking noise from the new park next door or non-dog owners have to worry dog attacks, dogs killing people, dog crap all over the ground, dog barking in a park that should be used safely by all. If your dog barks out of control, don't take it to a park, but rude dog owners believe they can do what they want. Then there are the dog fights and the nasty waste that is not picked up polluting the parks and the nearby groundwater sources. This is all about bad dog ownership. Good dog owners are way more responsible. We are living in an overpopulated world with overbreeding of animals creating more overpopulation. It's a civic responsibility issue. It's like the difference between good and bad parenting...it's a product of our modern society - too many people not being responsible and expecting the responsible people to do all the work and feel all the misery.The division is already there - you can't avoid the issues by ignoring them or they will get worse.
