Do you think I'm being selfish?
I have two boys, 4 and 2 years old and I love spending time with my wife and them. We usually do something as a family every weekend. But on Monday and Tuesday I don't get to see them much because I work from 7:30 to 4:30 then grab something to eat and head to Badminton training and competition from 5:30 to 9pm. Once a month I have a Philatelic society meeting on Thursday. My wife doesn't really have anything that gets her out of the house and I think she resents me a little for having outside interests. I've already given up playing tennis on Saturdays because I felt I needed to spend the full weekend with my family, but do you think I'm being selfish spending so much time on myself?
I'd really like to go the gym to keep my fitness but that would mean even less time with my family.
@ Ryan, I do grab something to eat at home on my Badminton nights but I'm only there for about an hour.
Not at all,but you should insist your wife have her share of time off from child raising occasionally and you can stay home with them on that night. Surely she would like a chance to do something such as taking classes in something of interest to her or just go to the movies with a relative or friend?
