Who did more in WWII; the USA or the UK?
Who contributed more to the Allied victory in WWII; the USA or the UK? Why?
And you don't need to mention the USSR, we all know they made a huge difference.

it seems one can look at this in a various of different ways. For argument sake I will just look at the financial consideration.
By the end of the war the USA had been established as the "next" Superpower, manufacturing was up, exports were up, jobs in the USA were up. The US provided many with "Lend Lease" materiel for war as you know. The War Bond Drive proved to be an effective mechanism and the nation was goal oriented in sacrifices during the war. However, by contributing could also mean a reflection of debt. Britain suffered with the victory as badly as Germany had in the defeat (and that too of Japan) though the "suffering" was different as you know. The suffering for Britain was in the debt it accumulated because of the war (whereas Germany and Japan were dealing with "suffering" in terms of complete collapse and ruin infrastructurally, population count wise, and now beholden to the opponents coming in to take over an control their sovereign borders).
