Social studies project- World War I please help!?
I have to do a poster on a WWI propaganda (i.e. "keep your war savings pledge) topic and idk what to do.
It has to be original.
And it has to answer the following questions:
*What message am I trying to send?
*What do I want Americans to do?
*How will my product grab the attention of Americans?
And then we have to write a paragraph about the poster that includes:
*the purpose of the propaganda piece
*how your propaganda piece would affect the war
*how would your piece affect life at home in America during WWI?
Any help would be appreciated! thank you!!!!!
Make a poster with a bunch of American soldiers toiling in a trench, covered in mud and looking sad. In the corner of their trench, have a pathetic looking Christmas tree with no presents and nothing cheery.
Then, have a message on the poster about making the soldiers Christmas brighter. Ask people to purchase "Holiday Bonds" with a portion going to funding a holiday for the boys in Europe.
You'll send the message that 1.) the soldiers are suffering and 2.) Christmas is a time of happiness for citizens and should be for the troops.
You're asking for Americans to buy "Holiday bonds" to fund a celebration and to maybe even get the people home for Christmas--which will also catch attention.
