98 Subaru outback cylinder 3 and 4 missfire, running very rough?
I bought a 98 outback about 6 months ago and on my drive from california to washington i got a check engine light, i called the guy i bought it from and he told me that he thought the problem was resolved as he had taken it to a shop with a cylinder 3 and 4 misfire and they replaced the plugs and wires which he had the records for and it seemed to have fixed it, i just lived with it for a while then my gas milage started getting worse so i decided i would replace the injectors which seemed to help with the mileage and idling. but just last night was driving up to seattle and as soon as i hit my frist hill with 4 people in the car it started getting very shakey and idling horribly... i got the check engine diagnosed again today and it's a 3/4 misfire and a low connectivity or something like that (i dont rememer the exact wording) on injector 4. i tried spraying down the coil pack with water to see if there was an electrical leak but had no success.
